The £20m GDV Hayfield Manor development on Berry Hill Road — designed by Pegasus Group — will be fossil-fuel free and will comprise a range of maisonettes, bungalows, and three-, four- and five-bedroom executive houses.

All 40 homes will be tenure blind and will benefit from air source heat pumps, energy-efficient underfloor heating, fibre-optic broadband and electric vehicle charging points, as well as private and visitor parking.

The scheme will also include a large expanse of public open space, with sustainable water drainage and biodiversity enhancements.

Andy Morris, managing director at Hayfield, said: “We are excited to have submitted our detailed plans for the Hayfield Manor development to Cherwell District Council, with which we also worked on Hayfield Views nearby Great Bourton.

“Our designs for this special scheme reflect the architectural significance of the traditional houses that line Berry Hill Road, which our zero-carbon-ready homes will complement beautifully. 

“We propose constructing the mixture of 40 single storey and two storey homes in redbrick and complementing stone, to ensure this new development effortlessly blends into its surroundings.”  

Hayfield is currently on site delivering over 400 homes at nine developments across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. 

The company is on track to increase turnover to £150m this year.
